“What They Become” is episode ten of season two of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
At the end of the previous episode, “Ye Who Enter Here”, Grant had taken both Raina and Skye from the bus, and Whitehall had given the order to shoot it down. Mac had descended into the alien city, then something happened to him. When he was hoisted back up, he attacked everyone and eventually fell back into the pit. He clearly wasn’t himself, but what happened to him down in the pit? Things are not looking good.
HYDRA forces are also heading to the city, and Grant has reunited Skye with her father. Her father is happy to finally be with his daughter; Skye not so much (her father is not exactly the poster child for sanity). Her father had also previously given the impression that he would personally like to see Whitehall dead. This seems to be true.
Everyone rushing about and potentially more fatalities of characters. This also looks to be the mid-season climax, and I still hate these.
