“The Well” is episode eight of season one of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
This one was set after the events of Thor: The Dark World, and was billed to a certain degree as a crossover episode. This was kind of worrying for anyone who hadn’t seen The Dark World before the episode, as there could quite easily have been spoilers.
Fortunately, there aren’t any real ones. Although the episode starts with the team literally cleaning up the mess left at the end of the film, sweeping up the debris left by Loki and the Dark Elves in Greenwich in London, beyond starting off in the location where the climax of the film happened, nothing else is really given away as the team pretty quickly gets involved in something else. This does admittedly involve Asgardian technology, and requires Asgardian help, but it has nothing to do with the film.
Not exactly the crossover episode that it was billed as being, but at least it did show that the various different components of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are interacting with each other.
