Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – The Force of Gravity

“The Force of Gravity” is episode twenty-one of season five of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

In the previous episode, “The One Who Will Save Us All”, Talbot had taken control of the Remorath ship and forced a meeting with the members of the Confederacy. Killing one of them in the process. He had also spoken to a member of House Kasius. Unfortunately, Talbot also appears to have gone off the deep end. When May and Daisy arrived on the ship, planning to save Talbot and Coulson, Talbot saw it as a conspiracy against him. General Hale tried to use HYDRA’s mind control against Talbot – so he crushed her into a ball. Talbot also wants to get more gravitonium, so he can become more powerful. With the intention of stopping Thanos, but that’s probably not going to work as planned. Daisy had also been shipped off to Taryan Kasius, as a gift.

This episode opens with Daisy coming to as someone is talking to her. The someone is Taryan, who says that they are in a neutral location at the edge of the galaxy. Taryan says that he is the master of the House of Kasius, and he is interested in how the Inhuman experiment has turned out. She wants to know where May and Coulson are; Taryan says that they are Daisy’s past and that he is her future.

May and Coulson are still on the Remorath ship. Qovas says that they are prisoners of war; Coulson says that they will take him down.. He is not impressed with their use of weapons; Qovas says that the Remorath earn their ranks through their kills. With humans, it’s all about the guns. May says she doesn’t need guns to bring him down. In reply, Qovas says he has a couple of missiles aimed at the Lighthouse – if they cause problems, he will fire them.

Talbot tells Qovas that they will both get what they want; the only thing that Qovas wants is gravitonium. Talbot says he knows someone who can help with this.

Fitz and Simmons are about to examine the remains of Daisy’s mother that she exhumed at the end of “Option Two”. The Centipede serum will carry Daisy’s mother’s DNA into Coulson’s body and cure him. Yo-Yo had been told by future her in “Past Life” that trying to save Coulson ended the world; Fitz says what if they don’t just try – but succeed. Coulson wasn’t in the future, so if they don’t fail to save him, that future should be prevented.

Deke and two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are still on Zephyr One when Talbot enters with a couple of Remorath. Talbot wants the Quinjet, which he flies using his new powers. Mack is watching the news about events in New York, more fallout from Infinity War, and some more clips of news footage are seen in the episode.

Coulson feels guilty about what has happened to Talbot. Talbot infused the gravitonium in order to save them. The first stop Talbot makes is to see Carl Creel. Mack wants to know if there is any means of stopping Talbot.

So, they need to prevent Qovas from firing missiles at the Lighthouse, develop a cure for Coulson and try and come up with a method of stopping Talbot as well. All whilst the events of Infinity War are unfolding in the background.
