“Icing Conditions” is episode thirteen of season two of Manifest and the season finale.
At the end of the previous episode, “Call Sign”, Baylor and his associates kidnapped Cal and rang Michaela demanding she get their meth back. She’s now telling Ben and Grace about that and the calling and it was like Baylor knew about the calling. She’s going to give them their meth back and not bring any more cops. Michaela wishes goodbye to Zeke and heads for the precinct.
Vance is with Saanvi; they are spying on the major. Vance says it’s just a matter of time until her scientists are identified.
Michaela has to sign for the meth but Jared is the lead detective and Michaela is on leave. Jared comes and signs it out and, after Michaela explains what’s going on, comes with her.
Saanvi approaches the major and says the major has something she wants. The major realises that Vance is alive and that Saanvi is doing this by herself. Saanvi wants her work back and offers data on Zeke in exchange. The major already knows about Zeke and says without him they would never have found what they were looking for. The major won’t deal and afterwards Saanvi tells Vance she needs a lab.
Baylor has given them a location for the meet and Jared tells Ben and Grace that he isn’t supposed to say this but involving the NYPD could make things worse. Drea arrives with some secure comms; Jared told her. Michaela goes through how the exchange will work at the Intrepid.
Ben sees that Cal is okay whilst Michaela leaves the bag of meth under a bench. Someone tells Michaela she left her bag, doesn’t believe her badge is genuine and calls a cop. Who doesn’t leave, and Baylor ends up bailing with Cal.
Captain Bowers is not impressed with them at the precinct; they should have come to her. She also won’t accept Michaela’s resignation; they will do this Bowers’ way.
Baylor and Jephers are arguing over what to do and Baylor’s brother, Pete, covers Cal with a blanket. Cal says his sister must be scared and wishes he could send her a message saying everything is alright.
Michaela and Ben are arguing about her not following the callings and why she didn’t listen when the voice made no sense. Ben thinks falling the callings is their only option.
Vance has got Saanvi a lab and her research from the hospital. Zeke is going to die unless Saanvi finds a cure and the major let something slip. However, it’s going to take six and a half days to run it.
Zeke has a calling with Cal in it and Olive gets a message from Cal, via Pete. She tells Ben and Grace she thinks she knows where Cal is.
Zeke is freezing to death and Cal is in danger from Baylor. And Michaela ends up going off book again.
