“Emergency Exit” is episode seven of season two of Manifest.
TJ is packing for his trip to Jamaica, with his mother’s help. In the present, he’s videochatting with Olive, who wants to know if he wants to go to a club. He does. They talk about the calling from the previous episode, “Return Trip”.
Grace joins Ben and they talk about the calling; she says he’ll figure it out. He thinks whatever they are meant to save the passengers from is coming.
Michaela found pills in Zeke’s razor in the previous episode. She asks to borrow it, which results in this being discussed and him saying that Courtney could be the liar.
Cal wants to head to Coney Island for a friend’s birthday, but is told he can’t. He doesn’t see the point in living if he can’t do anything fun. Olive objects to her parents, which results in an argument about Adrian’s church and her saying she’s old enough to be emancipated. Afterwards, Ben says Adrian has to be stopped.
Saanvi is experimenting on herself and it fails again. Then her father arrives with food. He mentions how she had the same problem with her cancer work and she talked to an immunologist friend and that helped. Saanvi hasn’t talked to her since she came back. Her father reminds her she said lives were on the line.
Ben is arguing with Adrian at the church, and mentions the calling. Adrian plays ignorant, even though he saw the calling Ben had.
Jared joins Michaela at the precinct and they talk. Then she’s told someone has information on the church attack. Jared gets a call from Billy, who wants the information. Jared says he’ll get it today. Elsewhere, someone is injecting champagne bottles with something. And the calling showed champagne.
TJ is with Olive and he gets a message saying Al-Zuras’s journal has been found. He gets it sent to Ben’s office. He also disagrees with Adrian’s interpretation of things.
The person who called about the church attack is Isaiah and he asks to meet with Michaela. Can she come to him? When she leaves, Jared tries logging onto her computer.
Saanvi’s friend, Alex Bates arrives. Saanvi invites her into her office. It’s clear that they were more than friends; this is the person Saanvi was going to Jamaica with. Alex says she was terrified of destroying her family over a fling. Saanvi wants to keep it business, but says that she loved Alex.
Michaela sees Ben, who wants to get the church shut down. And reassures he about Zeke, saying she has a pattern of pulling away. Afterwards, he decides to follow up on something she said, and invites Adrian to have a beer with him.
Zeke, Grace and Cal all have a calling about a club. And many people from the flight seem to be heading there. Whatever is going to happen is about to take place.
