“Episode #1.8” is episode eight of season one of Humans and the season finale.
In the previous episode, “1.7”, Max had been successfully recovered, but it seems that being too long without power had damaged his mind. The others were trying to fix him, but the Synth known as Karen Voss had betrayed them to the police.
Karen, being basically afflicted with self-loathing following the reaction by Leo to her being made in the image of his dead mother and then being left by his father, hates the idea of intelligent Synths like her. So she wants to stop it, and helps Hobbs in the understanding that he will stop it.
Hobbs has his own agenda, though – he wants to turn Synths into intelligent, feeling slaves.
Pete is looking for Karen, but he’s a bit confused, and the Hawkins family decides to try and help Mia and the others get free.
