Heroes Reborn – Game Over

“Game Over” is episode six of season one of Heroes Reborn.

At the end of the previous episode, “The Lion’s Den”, it was finally revealed what the extinction level event is. The Earth’s magnetic field is going to flip and, during that period when it isn’t protected, there will be a coronal mass ejection from the Sun which will kill everybody. So, Erica isn’t going to be directly responsible, but she’s making no effort to save anyone but the ones she decides are worth saving.

This episode opens with a couple of people being intensively questioned. Noah, Quentin and Taylor are questioning Harris. Taylor heads off by herself to try and find her boyfriend, and the others head to a Renautus facility. Carlos has captured Captain Dearing from the police, the latter being revealed to be an Evo and captured himself – to find out where his nephew, Jose, and Father Mauricio are. Dearing has been selling Evos to a nearby facility – he’s really not a very nice person.

Miko – who apparently isn’t Otomo’s real daughter, as she’s dead – and Ren are heading in Evernow to find her father. They find a creation of her father’s who says that she has to free the Master of Time and Space from the Eternal Fortress. The Master of Time and Space is, of course, Hiro Nakamura. When the Fortress is cloaked in the game, they decide to head to its real world location. Which is the same place Noah and Quentin are heading to, so they meet.

Luke Collins, after selling his practice and burning down his house has decided to buy a full size sailing ship, and then kill himself. Malina, without Farah as she’s been captured, just happens to arrive at the same place when he attempts this. Possibly not a pure coincidence.

Tommy, after finding out that he is adopted, and that he is supposed to help save the world, is feeling a bit overwhelmed. So he decides to take Phoebe on a trip to Paris. Evos are being actively discriminated against – all that’s really needed are some red, white and black armbands with a distinctive design.

There may be a chance to stop Erica and save a lot more people than she wants, but it’s not going to be easy.
