“The Way We Weren’t” is episode five of season two of Farscape.
Chiana finds a recording from Aeryn’s past, that shows her, and some other Peacekeepers commanded by Crais, executing Moya’s previous Pilot. Aeryn admits it was her, but she didn’t realise that it was Moya. Everyone but Crichton reacts quite badly, especially those that were aboard Moya at the time. Although Pilot has not seen it yet. Of course, he ends up seeing it, and he isn’t happy. At all.
The episode sees flashbacks from Aeryn’s past and her prior life in the Peacekeepers, during the transport and integration of the new Pilot – the current one – with Moya. Which includes some painful memories she doesn’t like to think about.
