“Nerve” is episode nineteen of season one of Farscape.
Aeryn is sick. Really sick. In the previous episode, “A Bug’s Life”, she was stabbed and the knife did damage that was fatal, if not immediately. She needs help, and quickly. Also in that episode, they got the location of a nearby, secret Peacekeeper base. Going there is the only way of saving her, but it’s not something they are looking forward to doing. The base is on a habitable moon orbiting a gas giant, and Crichton and Chiana infiltrate it. Gilina, the Peacekeeper tech met in “PK Tech Girl”, is on the base.
This episode sees the first appearance of Scorpius, the half-Sebacean, half-Scarran Peacekeeper with an interest in wormholes, who is a major opposing character. There is also a reference to previously unknown events from “A Human Reaction”.
The story doesn’t conclude in this episode but continues in the next, “The Hidden Memory”.
