“Into the Lion’s Den Part 1: Lambs to the Slaughter” is episode twenty of season three of Farscape.
In the previous episode, “I-Yensch, You-Yensch”, D’Argo and Rygel had negotiated with Scorpius to allow Crichton on board his command carrier, supposedly to help with wormhole research in exchange for pardons, but in actuality to sabotage the research. They are all heading there whilst Pilot and Moya hide with Talyn, who has been disabled due to his trigger happy tendencies, until he can be brought on board the command carrier to be fixed.
There is quite a bit of friction between the Peacekeepers and Moya’s crew. Given that a number of them were imprisoned by the Peacekeepers, this is hardly surprising (even Aeryn, a Peacekeeper herself from the same command carrier, is not exactly Ms. Popular). Crichton is also experiencing doubts regarding preventing the Peacekeepers from getting wormhole technology to attack the Scarrans.
I’ve just noticed that the Peacekeepers have a whole bunch of red banners with white circles and a black symbol inside it. That rather resembles another, rather notorious, symbol, and can’t be a coincidence (indeed it apparently isn’t; it’s a deliberate choice).
The story continues in the next episode, “Into the Lion’s Den Part 2: Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing”.
