“Best in Faux” is episode three of season three of Eureka.
Eureka’s dog show is being held shortly, and it’s an unusual one – all the dogs competing are robots. Competition is high, and matters get worse when the defending champion’s head falls off.
Carter is less than interested – even though he keeps being told how important the robots are – because he felt an earthquake. No-one else did, and he keeps being told that there can’t be earthquakes in Eureka. He’s convinced there was one, and meets a former, and discredited, specialist in the field.
In the previous episode, “What About Bob?”, Thorne had got Henry back to Eureka. She wants him to survey a proposed site for a hotel, but at the end of the episode, she was watching old film of tests done at Eureka. It seems she’s after something else, and this is probably an ongoing plot thread.
