“Time Heist” is episode five of season eight of the new Doctor Who.
The Doctor wants to go on a trip but Clara is going on a date with Mr. Pink, when the external phone of the TARDIS rings, which is quite unusual. The Doctor answers and the next thing they know is they’re at a table with two other people, an augmented human and a mutant human, and they’re holding worms. They’ve all agreed to have their memory erased.
They have also apparently agreed to help someone calling themselves The Architect rob a bank. The most secure bank in the galaxy and, because the bank is its own planet, one with rather fatal security. Why are the Doctor and Clara robbing a bank? What could they possibly gain from it?
A heist episode. That’s possibly a new one. I can’t remember the Doctor robbing a bank before, and I’m not sure where I’ve put The Universal Databank to check.
The latest incarnation of the Doctor seems to struggle more with interpersonal stuff than the last few have.
