“Waking the Tyrant’s Device” is episode three of season four of Andromeda.
The Andromeda Ascendant is on a special mission from one of the Triumvars when it gets pulled out of slipstream – at, as it happens, the location it was aiming for. Which seems a bit needless. Then it gets attacked by a probe from a nearby moon.
This links up with two devices in the moon that are pulling the Andromeda down onto it. They aren’t the first ones to fall into this trap either – the surface of the moon is covered in wrecked ships.
To try and fix it, Dylan, Beka, Harper and Rommie head down to the moon. They stumble across Molly, who Dylan met in “Lava and Rockets” (‘met’ as in basically hijacked her ship), and whose own ship was pulled down.
The maker of the device also apparently built the Magog world ship (something that makes the Death Star look rather puny and small by comparison). He’s half human, half android, and really doesn’t seem to like humans. Or any organics. He’s building an army of robots to help the Magog.
