“Tunnel at the End of the Light” is episode twenty two of season two of Andromeda and the season finale.
The Andromeda Ascendant is in a remote system with representatives of the fifty groups who have agreed to sign up for the new Systems Commonwealth. Some of the groups are apparently a bit reluctant, and would like to back out if given half a chance.
The Drago-Kazov pride sends a saboteur, but that isn’t the real problem. There’s a brand new menace abroad – and aboard. There’s an undetectable creature killing delegates. Then the creature’s friends show up, in large numbers.
This is the ‘bad future’ that future Trance came back to stop in “Ourobouros”.
Not quite a cliffhanger ending, but the story does continue in season three‘s “If the Wheel is Fixed”.
