“The Things We Cannot Change” is episode seventeen of season two of Andromeda.
Dylan is on the Eureka Maru investigating a black hole, whilst the Andromeda Ascendant stays out of harm’s way. Things go wrong and the Maru has a hull breach. Dylan is sucked out and is left drifting in space near a black hole. Which is generally not what would be considered a safe place to be.
Whilst the Andromeda tries to find some way of getting him back, Dylan is having visions of being married, with a son, that seem very real. Whilst he is interacting with his wife and son, he gets occasional flashbacks to previous events. Which leaves him struggling to tell which is reality and which is hallucination.
Not quite a flashback episode – there’s too much new content for it to be a true one – but pretty close to it.
