“The Knight, Death & The Devil” is episode twenty of season two of Andromeda.
The fiftieth planet is about to sign to join the new systems Commonwealth, but before they do, they want to see Dylan. Unfortunately, Beka is in command of the Andromeda Ascendant, as Dylan has gone off with Tyr and Rommie in the Eureka Maru. Beka’s ship really gets borrowed a lot by the others.
They are looking for a ship’s avatar that apparently knows the location of fifty captured Commonwealth vessels. These vessels are being held captive by the Drago-Kazov Nietzschean pride in an unknown star system. The Drago-Kazov has finally discovered a way of deleting the ships’ AIs, which would give them control of the ships, including the most powerful High Guard vessel built.
This episode sees a guest appearance by Christopher Judge, the actor who played Teal’c in Stargate SG-1. After the previous appearance of Michael Shanks in “Star-Crossed”, this is the second appearance of an SG-1 actor. Although, it could be considered to be the third, as Lexa Doig, who plays Andromeda, also appears in SG-1 but, at this point, she hasn’t yet.
