“Immaculate Perception” is episode twenty one of season two of Andromeda.
A group of humans calling themselves the Knights of Genetic Purity, or the Gennites, are going around ‘cleansing’ the genepool of everyone who isn’t a pure human (such cleansing generally involves killing people). Which is a lot of people. One of the groups they want to remove is, of course, the Nietzscheans. They seem to be picking on smaller prides, and one of these is the Orca Pride, who were encountered in “Double Helix”, and one of whose members Tyr married. She has also born him a son, so Tyr goes off to rescue her.
The Andromeda Ascendant, meanwhile, is taking on the Gennites. Which isn’t easy, as they’ve actually advanced their technology over what the Systems Commonwealth had at its fall – something no-one else seems to have managed, which is odd, especially as groups like the Than managed to come through pretty much intact.
