“The Needs of the Many” is episode four of season one of Heroes Reborn.
At the end of the previous episode, “Under the Mask”, Tommy and his mother were involved in a car crash. His mother is in hospital, and urgently needs blood, but there isn’t any available locally. And unless Tommy’s blood is a match, his mother may well die, and getting his blood tested is a risk in itself.
Luke and Joanne Collins are still hunting and killing Evos. Joanne is still getting a kick from it; Luke, not so much. Especially as he’s started exhibiting powers of his own, which is going to cause problems in their relationship.
The girl and her sometimes invisible tutor are heading south from the Arctic circle – and so are the aurora. It seems the aurora are bad, but this hasn’t been explained yet.
Miko managed to escape from Renautus, with Ren’s help, and chopped off the lower arm of Harris (who also said she was dead). Which didn’t bother him much, as he grew a new one. Rather more strangely, the chopped off hand grew a new body. She was unable to bring her father’s sword with her, and so she and Ren are now planning to head to California.
Using Molly Walker, Renautus now has the means to track every Evo down, anywhere, and Erika seems a little prejudiced against Evos, and her prejudice is endangering everyone. In California, Noah and Quentin confront Erica’s daughter Taylor, who is already doubting her mother, and convince her to help them get into the facility and find Molly.
After Carlos’ first attempt at stopping Captain Dearing, in which he found out that the latter was an Evo, he has decided to go about things a different way. His first attempt failed quite badly, so he’s building a new suit, which he is equipping as a type of armour, and he plans to armour up a car as well.
