“There Is No Normal Anymore” is episode two of season one of the new V.
After the massacre at the warehouse in the previous episode, “Pilot”, Jack and Erica are talking. Her partner, Dale, was an alien. They don’t know who they can trust. Jack asks what they do now. Build a resistance. But they have to be careful. A shuttle buzzes past and lands outside the warehouse. They’re cleaning the evidence away. Erica makes an anonymous call to the police, except the Vistors intercept it. A device like the one that attacked the warehouse finds them and pursues, but Erica destroys it. Erica says Dale was her partner for seven years, long before the Visitors arrived. Go home, act normal. She’ll figure out what they need to do.
Erica arrives home but Tyler isn’t there. When he arrives, she wants his promise to stay clear of the Visitors. He promises. But has already signed up as a peace ambassador.
Father Travis tells Jack the police came around, wanting to talk to him about the man who was stabbed to death. They’ll be back.
Paul calls Erica and tells her that Dale is missing.
Ryan is with his girlfriend. As he’s a Visitor in a human suit, he needs his flesh fixing.
Chad is watching the interview he made with Anna. He isn’t happy.
Erica arrives at work, somewhat paranoid. She’s taken into a conference room and asked questions about Dale. Another agent, Sarita Malik, is interviewing Jack about the dead man; he was on a list of people who had contacted the FBI about an alien invasion. Erica’s questioning is interrupted when someone tells Paul that Dale’s car has been found.
Chad and Haley are talking about the interview. 50% of people are still undecided on the Visitors. Chad says it’s his fault; he got played. He needs to show Anna that she’s not the only one who can get what she wants.
At the warehouse where the massacre happened, Erica tells Paul that the address is familiar. Paul asks why she didn’t tell him. Because they thought there was a mole tipping off the terrorists. Maybe that’s why Dale came.
Marcus is looking at the feed from the ball at the warehouse attack. They’re also questioning the only human captured alive.
Jack wants to do the right thing, but is too trusting and may end up doing the wrong one. Ryan wants to get back in the fight. Brandon wants to join the peace ambassadors as well as Tyler. Erica’s actions are looking a bit suspicious to Paul. And the Visitors are trying to get diplomatic relations with as many countries as possible. Chad is deliberately provoking Anna.
