“Rumble” is episode eleven of season one of The Tomorrow People.
After the previous episode “The Citadel”, Cara is now the leader of the Tomorrow People. This episode starts six years in the past, when Cara first came to the city as a breakout and was recruited by a thief, and Tomorrow Person, called Julian.
Julian is now back on the scene and both the Tomorrow People and Ultra are after him. Stephen is undergoing training with Ultra, and the penalty for failure is loss of his powers.
Julian is not a nice person. He pushes the edge of the ‘can’t kill’ limitation the Tomorrow People have, and may in fact get around it by getting people killed even if he doesn’t do it himself.
It seems that in this latest interpretation of the franchise they’re trying to obey the letter of the prohibition whilst avoiding the spirit.
