“Honey, I Shrunk Team Flash” is episode twelve of season four of The Flash.
Cecile and Joe are talking. Only she’s hearing what he’s saying without him talking. She’s become telepathic.
Caitlin checks her out; the baby is perfectly normal. Cecile heard Caitlin think it’s a baby girl. Cecile is definitely telepathic and starts answering everyone’s unasked questions. According to Caitlin, the pregnancy probably triggered latent dark matter from the particle accelerator explosion. It should recede after birth. Cecile says maybe it’s a good thing; she always wondered what goes on inside Joe’s head.
Harry is less interested; they should be concentrating on trying to get Barry free. However, they’re at a dead end, even though Barry or Cisco can get him out if needed. Iris says Barry will have to hold on; she can’t imagine what he’s going through. Which is playing poker with Big Sir and Bellows and using his speed to cheat for Big Sir.
Bellows makes a comment about Big Sir shooting an unarmed man and the latter storms off. Barry follows; his dad wouldn’t have risked his life for another bad guy. Big Sir hands him the file. He allegedly shot and killed a security guard whilst stealing something from Mercury. Barry isn’t impressed at the evidence and Big Sir says that he didn’t do it; there was someone of his size and frame there. He heard the shots and tried to help the guard. It doesn’t matter; that guy will be long gone.
The new mayor is talking about the opening of the latest Kord Industries building in Central City and how it’s designed to be the most secure building of its kind. There’s a large man in the crowd, and when the building vanishes, he strolls over and picks up a greatly-reduced size building.
Cisco confirms that dark matter was used to Joe and Cecile starts randomly reading everyone’s minds. There’s footage from an ATM camera across the street, and it shows the man from the crowd getting into a car that suddenly appeared. Then Barry calls Joe.
Joe tells the others that Barry wants them to look into Big Sir’s case. It’s the only request he’s made and it’s not for him, and they are at a dead end with his case. Joe has traced the car to Sylbert Rundine, who has multiple breaking and entering priors. Barry tells Big Sir his friends are going to help; Big Sir is worried about getting hope.
Joe, Cisco and Ralph confront Sylbert Rundine, who has a room filled with models that Cisco admires. There’s a photo of Rundine from 15 years ago; he looks like Big Sir back then. Ralph has found a miniature of the car. Rundine ends up restoring an energy weapon and a parachute and jumping out the window. Cisco breaches them to the alley, where Joe’s car gets shrunk. Then Cisco and Ralph.
Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Iris says Felicity said some dwarf star alloy was stolen from a holding facility in Central City. The day Barry came out of the Speed Force. Rundine presumably stole it, then got on the bus.
They now need to find some way of restoring Ralph and Cisco. And Cecile’s ability is freaking Joe out.
