“Wanheda: Part 1” is episode one of season three of The 100.
At the end of the season two finale, “Blood Must Have Blood: Part 2”, Clarke had left Camp Arkadia after she had killed most of the occupants of Mount Weather. Murphy had stumbled into a luxurious bunker and Jaha had found a mansion apparently solely occupied by an artificial intelligence with a holographic projection (played by Erica Cerra, who played Jo Lupo in Eureka). The AI had salvaged the warhead from a nuclear missile.
This episode opens with Murphy being trapped inside the bunker, which is where he remains for three months, until Jaha and the AI finally let him out. During that time Murphy had watched videos that had been recorded in the bunker. These were from at the start of the war, which apparently had been caused by the AI. Jaha has a new mission.
Back at Camp Arkadia, the Ark survivors have apparently managed to find some electric vehicles, although where from is not stated (salvaged from Mount Weather? Perhaps this will be explained later). There is a truce between the Sky People and the Grounders, but it’s a fragile one on the verge of breaking. And Clarke may cause it to fall apart.
There is a bounty on Clarke’s head, who they call Wanheda, the Commander of Death, so many people are looking for her to gain her power, in particular the queen of Ice Nation. If they catch her, this could result in the end of the Grounder Coalition and the breaking of the truce.
Many of the others have problems, Jasper especially. He is suffering badly from Mya’s death. Bellamy and his team are heading into Grounder territory to look for Clarke (who is disguising her appearance to a degree), but things start to rapidly fall apart.
