“Earth Kills” is episode three of season one of The 100.
If there were a hundred to start with, it looks like this number is dropping quite rapidly. There’s an ugly, evil-looking yellow acidic fog floating in the air that is really not pleasant to be in.
This episode has clips from a year prior up to the present, showing the events which led up to Clarke’s father being “floated” – floating is a means of executing people by throwing them out of an airlock – interspersed with the present day (given that they appear to be reusing clothing, it’s surprising that they float people fully clothed, or don’t use the organic matter of the bodies).
Clarke, Finn and Wells look for a substance to help cure Jasper, who didn’t die in “Pilot” but was rescued in “Earth Skills”, although he was still badly injured. Not surprising, given that he took a spear to the chest.
So far, the series isn’t being as young adult (immature) as I feared it might be.
