“Blood Giant” is episode thirteen of season seven of The 100.
In the previous episode, “The Stranger”, Sheidheda had had the stone brought to his throne room. So, when Clarke agreed to take Bill and the Disciples to the Flame, they all arrived in front of Sheidheda. Gabriel speaks to what he thinks is Russell; Clarke tells him it isn’t. Sheidheda tells them to kneel or die. Bill doesn’t have time for this, and invisible Disciples take down all of Sheidheda’s armed guards before revealing themselves. Murphy can accept invisibility and ray guns; Bellamy needs explaining though.
Clarke speaks to Indra and asks if Madi is safe with Gaia. Indra thought Gaia was with them. Murphy tells them Madi is safe for now. Bill orders Indra be taken; she was unrestrained and the only reason she’s not dead is because she was unarmed. Sheidheda runs at Bill and another invisible Disciple stabs him in the gut. Bill has no interest in removing Sheidheda from the throne. He has a proposal. Give Bill undisturbed passage, Bill will leave Gabriel behind to treat him and he will be free to continue his debasement of the species. Refuse, and die.
In the reactor, Nikki is working at her binds as Madi asks Emori about food. One of the others has faith in Murphy. Madi, not so much.
Bill is pontificating about Sanctum when Clarke pushes past him. Murphy speaks to Bellamy; on finding out it isn’t an act speaks to Raven and Clarke. Bill tells them to stop. Clarke can go; the others will stay. To ensure she returns. Murphy suggests they wait in the tavern and two Disciples startle him by appearing in front of him. Raven tells him you get used to it.
Gabriel can’t do much for Sheidheda. Indra is pleased. Gabriel asks about Russell, then sees a hallucination of Josephine. And realises they need antitoxin. Outside, Murphy recaps what Raven has told him. And asks if it’s weird that the craziest part is Bellamy in that robe. Nope.
Bill is fretting; Bellamy reassures him Clarke will return. Bill sends Doucette away; Doucette will make a fine replacement for Anders, but he’s not like them. The Disciples are taught faith from birth. It’s easy. Bill and Bellamy know the pull of love, which leads to hatred and tribalism. Bill reassures Bellamy he’s not failing. Then the Red Sun alarm goes off. Bill thinks it’s one of Clarke’s tricks. Raven, looking at the gas giant which is already being affected, says if it is, it’s a good one.
The reactor is airtight, but the guards Sheidheda posted are now trying to break their way in. Nikki has got loose, but before she can do much, Emori shuts down the reactor and the room goes dark. Nikki is knocked out. Outside, Raven says the shield is down. Bugs are incoming. They need to run. Bellamy agrees. Clarke has heard the alarm; she will head to the reactor.
Jackson is treating people when Gabriel enters; he’s looking for the antitoxin. Jackson queries about Miller; Gabriel says he’s fine, once he knows who it is. There’s very little antitoxin left. Gabriel says they need to make more. Jackson needs to take the existing so he can help. Gabriel is used to working under the influence. But Josephine is pointing out the device used to repair mind drives. It could be used to fix the Flame, too.
Things are starting to get very messy.
