“Worlds War Bizarre” is episode fourteen of season two of Superman and Lois.
In the previous episode, “All Is Lost”, Superman was drained by Ally so much that he may now be normal. He comes around in the hospital room where Lois is asleep.
Jonathan and Jordan are at home when Jordan hears their parents return. Both leave their phones on the table, and the screens flicker. Outside, Clark can’t even make it up the steps without stumbling. His cells have been completely drained of solar energy and aren’t recharging. Clark needs to see his mother. Jordan panics at the idea he might have to fly there but Lois says they will ask John Henry.
John Henry and Natalie are trying to work out how Ally drained power from him and Clark, and the hammer too, when there’s a knock. Clark is outside; he wants to know how Ally did it too and knows someone who might help.
Lana is chivvying Sarah to get ready when Sophie screams. There’s a scary woman on the television; it’s Ally talking about merging both Earths.
Chrissy is at the Gazette, complaining that the computer is playing up when Lois arrives. Chrissy wants to publish what they have. It’s their job to warn the public about a death cult run by an all-powerful psycho. Lois doesn’t want to cause a panic. Chrissy’s computer plays up again. Then the text goes backwards. Or, more accurately, Bizarro.
At the Fortress, Lara Lor-Van is examining Clark. She says his cells have been damaged; until they heal, he won’t be able to absorb energy like he’s used to and will remain like he is now. It’s like when he was an infant. In time his cells will adjust. Clark is concerned; he didn’t develop powers until he was four. He wants to speed it up. Lara starts saying there’s perhaps one method, then she flickers, talks backwards and goes out. John Henry is staring outside. There are two suns in the sky, and one of them is cubical and red.
Sam arrives at the farm and speaks to Lois. Ally is using Superman’s energy to merge the worlds. They don’t know how to stop it. John Henry and Clark return. Inside, Clark explains it could take him a long time to get better. John Henry and Natalie are going to head into the stratosphere to take readings. Lois says Chrissy is meeting with Lana; she wants to go public. Sam says they have a cover story, but Lois thinks they need to share.
In the diner, the cover story is being met with disbelief when Lana arrives; she’s leaving the girls with Kyle. She’s heading to her office now to try and find out what’s happening. Then Chrissy calls.
John Henry and Natalie are in orbit; the red sun is only putting out 3% of the normal energy, but it’s growing rapidly as the other universe shifts into their own. At the farm, Sam and Clark ask if they can track the point of origin of the energy source causing this. Sam reassures Clark this isn’t his fault.
Chrissy is in Lana’s office, telling her the cover story is wrong. Lana asks if she can prove that. Lois arrives and tells her yes. They fill her in on what happened, and that Superman is currently down and out. Lana asks why Lois is telling her this. To play along with the lie? No; to let her know the truth and decide what to do with it.
Clark is sitting in the sun and Jonathan joins Jordan watching him. He doesn’t even have super hearing. Jordan hears something and gets his father out of the way before Bizarro Lana crashes down in the same spot. Jordan is coming off second best when John Henry and Natalie return and Bizarro Lana flies off.
Lana is struggling with the burden of the truth. Clark is feeling worthless without his powers. And there’s less than 12 hours before both worlds merge.
