“Reckoning: Part 1” is episode sixteen of season eight of Stargate SG-1.
Ba’al’s representative tells a meeting of the rest of the Goa’uld System Lords to submit to him in exchange for their lives and their territory. During the meeting, Sam Carter arrives at the station where it is being held. Only it’s Replicator Sam who took control of the Replicators in “Gemini”, not real Sam, and the rest of the Replicators arrive too.
Teal’c and the Jaffa are planning an attack on a System Lord, and real Sam and Daniel are along as observers. Another Ha’tak arrives and starts firing with unusually effective weapons. That’s because the Ha’tak is being controlled by Replicators, and they abduct Daniel.
If the Replicators defeat the Goa’uld, the rest of the galaxy will fall shortly after – and the Goa’uld are not doing well. The rebel Jaffa are also defecting back to the Goa’uld. Teal’c has a plan to show once and for all that the Goa’uld are false gods, by capturing a temple.
And, of course, Fake Sam managed to make the Replicators immune to the Ancient weapon.
Whilst Fake Sam tries to find Ancient knowledge in Daniel’s brain, Real Sam tries to fix the weapon so they can defeat the Replicators and Teal’c and the rebel Jaffa try to capture the temple. And an old enemy returns.
The episode continues in “Reckoning: Part 2”.
