“Insiders” is episode four of season ten of Stargate SG-1.
Even though Morgan Le Fay told Daniel the gate addresses of the two planets that are believed to be possible homes of Merlin’s anti-Ascended being weapon in the previous episode, “The Pegasus Project”, they aren’t having any luck finding it, so Daniel is looking through Merlin’s library in Camelot for more clues.
An Al’kesh heading for Cheyenne Mountain is forced down. The pilot, Ba’al, asks SG-1 for help. He says that the clones he created in “Ex-Deus Machina” have turned on him, and he wants SG-1 to round them up. In return, he says that he knows the actual location of Merlin’s weapon.
When SG-1, minus Daniel, capture the first clone, he claims to be the original, that the Ba’al already in custody is actually a clone, and that only he knows the location of the weapon. The next Ba’al captured claims the same, and the next and the next and so on, until there are a veritable horde of Ba’als in the SGC. All of which are claiming to be the real Ba’al amongst a group of clones.
Which one is telling the truth? Are any of them telling the truth?
