“Heroes: Part 2” is episode eighteen of season seven of Stargate SG-1.
In the previous episode, “Heroes: Part 1”, a producer (Saul Rubenik, who plays Artie in Warehouse 13) was doing a documentary (albeit one that wouldn’t be shown to the general public for some time) on the SGC, which no-one at the SGC was happy with. Meanwhile, SG-13 had discovered an Ancient ruin, and then encountered a probe. The probe apparently summoned a Goa’uld force to the planet. SG-1 and Dr Frasier, amongst others, are going through the gate in support.
O’Neill takes a staff weapon blast to the chest very early on, apparently killing him. Having seen O’Neill in SGU, Stargate: Atlantis and the two tidying up programmes, all of which were set after this episode, I knew this couldn’t be true (another reason why things should be watched in the right sequence – if you can). Senator Kinsey uses this to attempt to cause problems for the SGC again. This time he sends Mr Woolsey (played by Robert Picardo, possibly best known for his portrayal of the holographic Doctor in Star Trek Voyager) – his first appearance, but the character becomes more important and plays major roles in SGU and Stargate: Atlantis.
There are more documentary shots in this episode, as the documentary is being edited.
