“Heroes: Part 1” is episode seventeen of season seven of Stargate SG-1.
Supposedly to commemorate the 1,000th mission of the SGC, a producer has been allowed access to film a documentary, using a USAF crew. This is not welcomed by anyone at the SGC, who are less than cooperative, following the letter of the orders rather than the spirit, which frustrates the producer. Even Senator Kinsey, who turns up to showboat, is less cooperative than he could be. Especially considering his feelings of self importance – you’d think he’d consider this to be an excellent opportunity for self-aggrandisement.
At the same time, SG-13 discovers some Ancient ruins.
Much of this episode is shot in a documentary style, from the film that is being shot, resulting in a different feel to those segments to the normal one. Not a whole lot happens, either.
I think I’ve seen this episode before. It continues in “Heroes: Part 2”.
