“Indiscretion” is episode five of season four of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
Major Kira receives a message from a former associate that he has discovered evidence related to the missing ship Ravinok – physical evidence this time, not just a rumour.
The Ravinok was a Cardassian ship that was transporting a number of Bajoran prisoners, including a friend of Kira’s, when it went missing. Kira is going to go looking for the ship in a runabout, but when the Cardassian government finds out about this, they request she take a representative with her.
She isn’t happy about this, and becomes less so when the representative turns out to be Gul Dukat. Dukat claims he is accompanying her because the men on the ship were under his command, but in truth he had a rather close relationship with one of the Bajorans on board. His motives are personal, not professional.
