“Hippocratic Oath” is episode four of season four of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
Doctor Bashir and Chief O’Brien are in the Gamma Quadrant on a runabout when they detect something from a nearby planet. When they approach the planet, they are knocked out of the sky and captured by a group of Jem’Hadar.
There’s something rather odd about these Jem’Hadar, though – they are effectively rebelling against their rulers. The leader of the group is, for some reason, not dependent on the drug, Ketracel-White, that they need to stay alive. He was marooned on the planet in question for some time previously, and has brought his men here to try and break their addiction to White as well. It isn’t going well, and he asks for Julian’s help.
Back on the station, Worf is having trouble dealing with how Odo handles security matters, and that he himself is no longer in security, and interferes a bit too much.
An unusually long pre-credit sequence in this episode.
