“Coordinated Flight” is episode five of season two of Manifest.
Two years after Flight 828 disappeared and Grace and Olive are at a fun fair. They see a woman reading Tarot cards and Olive wants a go. The woman turns over a card and says there’s a possibility everything will turn out well.
In the present. Olive is at the Church of the Believers talking to Isiah when they hear crashes. X-ers are smashing up the place. Isiah goes to confront them and is beaten and Olive triggers the fire alarm.
Zack is at Michaela’s. He finds her painkillers; when she comes in, he says he hadn’t touched them. She flushes them away and he tells her he has a reason to be strong.
TJ is in Ben’s office; they are researching the compass with the peacock that was in the bank in the previous episode, “Black Box”. The engraving of a peacock and star isn’t part of the original design. Simon White comes in and turns on the news which has the attack on the church. Ben isn’t happy with Adrian – he also doesn’t know that White looks to hate the 828s – and gets a calling saying ‘Save her.’
Olive is telling Adrian what she saw. She wants to be left out of any reports because of her parents.
Jared is in the bar, eating breakfast and talking to the barmaid, Tamara. Her brother wants the Buick; Jared suggests he get a squad car to pick him up. Afterwards, Tamara says Billy isn’t a bad kid; he just fell in with the wrong crowd.
Michaela and Drea are at the Church of the Believers; Michaela asked for the case. Of the X-ers are willing to vandalise a church in daylight, who knows how far they will go? AS uniform tells them there are no security cameras and the victim is in the back with the paramedics.
Grace calls Ben and JT heads to the library. Ben tells Grace about the calling and asks if she or Cal felt anything. As a truck speeds up behind them and then comes up beside them. Ben hears a crash.
Grace had been run off the road and is talking to a cop when Ben arrives. The cop is saying this happens all the time, but Ben thinks it may have been deliberate and wants it taken more seriously. Then Grace says she thinks there’s something wrong with the baby.
Isiah isn’t willing to talk, even though he knows Michaela is an 828. He says it’s not his place to judge the X-ers; their eyes will be opened in time. Michaela heads to speak to Adrian. He thinks if the X-ers are arrested, especially by her, it could make it worse. Michaela is more concerned that the next time it will be guns.
Ultrasound of the baby shows she’s fine – Ben and Grace discover the sex – but the doctor wants to keep her in to monitor her and the baby for a few hours. Ben wonders if the ‘her’ in the calling is the baby.
Zack is at a meeting, and saying even with someone believing in him, he’s tempted and feels a fraud. Another man tells him to make amends. It’s not about whether the people forgive him; it’s about Zack moving on.
Michaela arrives at the hospital and speaks to Ben. He’s worried they might not even make it to the death date and wants all the reports of violence on passengers. Drea calls; they have something. Which turns out to be ATM footage showing three men with hoodies and bats and a fourth getting out of the way.
Ben is concerned that the X-ers attacks are far more organised than they seem to be.
