“Bloodline” is episode eighteen of season three of Fringe.
Fauxlivia is attending a check-up with her obstetrician and her mother. She’s worried about having viral propagated eclampsia, which killed her sister in childbirth. The risk is high. When they leave, her mother tries to reassure her. And also talks about the father; no-one has been told the truth about Peter. Fauxlivia is dropped off at her apartment building. She’s looking around and an Observer is watching from across the street. AltLee calls her and when she mentions thinking someone is watching, he sends a security team. Fauxlivia enters her apartment, then is tasered by two men waiting for her.
AltCharlie is talking to AltLee about AltCharlie seeing the bug girl and him saying AltLee should he has a thing for Fauxlivia. He wants the team to call him when they arrive at Fauxlivia’s.
At the DoD, AltBrandon is trying to convince Walternate to experiment on children again when Walternate gets a call from AltLee. Fauxlivia has been kidnapped.
Echelon is activated and they locate Fauxlivia’s tracker. However, Fauxlivia is in the back of a truck and they’re getting ready to make a transfer after something is done. When the Fringe team arrives at the site of Fauxlivia’s tracker, that’s the only thing there.
Fauxlivia is strapped to a medical bed in what appears to be a temporary medical facility in a warehouse. Something is injected into a stomach and she’s given a sedative tablet. A device is pointed at her stomach and a screen displays the baby.
AltLee and AltCharlie are back. The tracker is organic tech and individual, untraceable without the Echelon protocol. It’s also secret. Either this was an inside job or someone was sold the information. AltLee wants AltAstrid to get the name and clearance of everyone who knows about the tracker. Astrid has something for him; a commercial vehicle was seen around Fauxlivia’s place to often to be random.
Henry is sitting inside his cab when AltCharlie and AltLee roll up and bark confusing orders. Henry says he’s worried about Olivia and once in a while he drives by to make sure she’s okay. They want to know how Henry knows about Olivia – though they don’t know it’s Olivia he knows – and he explains that AltCharlie has pointed a gun at him before. On the first day he met Olivia in “Olivia”. AltCharlie realises who he is. Henry didn’t expect Olivia would come back.
Fauxlivia is being checked on; she is given another sedative tablet but doesn’t swallow it.
Henry explains that Olivia was scared people were trying to convince her she was someone she wasn’t, and the people she was running from were Fringe. She wanted to get home to a guy called Peter. Henry didn’t expect to see Olivia again after Liberty Island, but ran into her a few weeks ago and she acted like she didn’t know Henry. It was like her mind got wiped and Henry got worried. Henry knows that there are things he shouldn’t know, but talk about another universe is hard to ignore.
Henry is bundled into the car politely. AltLee and AltCharlie say he knows way too many things to be lying. AltLee reminds AltCharlie about when he asked if it was possible to switch Olivias and AltLee said he was crazy? What if he isn’t?
Fauxlivia’s mother is contacted by the obstetrician. Fauxlivia has VPE. Giving birth will kill her and the baby.
Fauxlivia is grabbing a scalpel to free herself from the restraints, as she’s been given too much freedom, when she’s suddenly hit by agonising pain. And her stomach is moving and growing.
Fauxlivia’s pregnancy has been accelerated. And giving birth is going to be fatal. Someone with a fair amount of influence has arranged this, and AltLee and AltCharlie are starting to question things.
