“Try, Try Again” is episode two of season two of Eureka.
At the end of the previous episode, “Phoenix Rising”, Henry had deleted Carter’s memory of the future. Or the alternative future that was actually their past. Prior to that, Henry had said he was going to delete his own memory too, but he didn’t. Given that he stated that he couldn’t forgive Carter for stopping him from saving Kim, and that he’s intending to work for Global Dynamics, this is a potential problem.
Stark is being replaced as head of Global Dynamics by Allison. During the changeover, the entire facility’s computer network is taken offline. This is normal procedure.
Fargo, who has been given a shiny new desk, finds an odd device in his pocket. Being Fargo he turns it on. It then won’t turn off.
The device is a portable force field generator, which doesn’t sound bad. However, it is categorised as something that is really, really dangerous, so there’s more to it than that. Allison’s first day isn’t going well, as she has to decide what to do, and all the details about the device Fargo activated are on the, currently offline, computers.
