“The Story of O2” is episode four of season four of Eureka.
It’s Space Week in Eureka, and Carter is heading out of town to see Zoe at Harvard. This is the first time he will have actually seen her since being stuck in the new timeline in “A New World”.
Back in Eureka, the 24 hour race to the Moon and back is being held – rather a short race, considering how long it took the Apollo missions to get there and back, but they don’t have to slow down to make orbit or land, so that probably makes quite a lot of difference. And technology has improved – Eureka’s certainly has.
During the race, there are problems in the town, related to too much oxygen. If they aren’t fixed before the rockets return, the town will go boom. Rockets plus too much O2 equals big bang.
Allison, like Carter, is having concerns with her son. She left for the past with an autistic child and came back to the present with a normal one, and she’s having problems adjusting to the, pretty significant, change.
Deputy Andy is now Deputy Andy 2.0 (played by Kavan Smith, who played Major Evan Lorne in Stargate SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis, as well as minor roles in Battlestar Galactica and Sanctuary).
