“Its Hour Come ‘Round at Last” is episode twenty two of season one of Andromeda and the season finale.
Harper is fixing some of the Andromeda’s hardware and software when he comes across a backup of her personality in her cyberspace. Somehow, it activates, and becomes the primary one. Unfortunately, this personality thinks it’s over 300 years in the past, prior to Dylan becoming captain, and on a secret mission for the Systems Commonwealth.
As a result, Andromeda-the-AI doesn’t recognise her new crew and sets the, pretty ineffective, internal defences on them – including the android Rommie, who appears unaffected. Multiple personalities or what? Screen Andromeda argues with holo Andromeda. Is that like talking to yourself?
Andromeda also gets Trance to steer the ship through slipstream for her, and they end up in Magog space and attacked by them. Rev Bem is rather the exception to rule when it comes to the Magog.
A cliffhanger ending to the season with the story continuing in season two‘s “Turning The Widening Gyre”.
