“All Too Human” is episode six of season two of Andromeda.
The planet Moebius, which Dylan was forced to visit in “Forced Perspective”, has now joined the renewed Systems Commonwealth. Now they want the help of the Andromeda Ascendant. A neighbouring planet has built a powerful ship that is capable of vaporising planets. It’s already destroyed one; now it’s heading to them.
The Eureka Maru has gone to the aggressor planet, with Harper, Rev Bem, Tyr and Rommie. Rommie is trying to extract the ship’s designer (who played The X-Files‘s John Fitzgerald Byers – I thought I recognised him), who has contacted them, so that he can give them information on the ship.
The planet in question doesn’t like AIs. At all. After the Commonwealth fell, the AIs did a bunch of things that were logical, but not exactly nice. There are some lasting feelings of resentment. Rommie is an embodied AI. This may be a problem.
More going on though; there are other players in the game.
