“Liars, Guns and Money: With Friends Like These…” is episode twenty of season two of Farscape.
The crew successfully stole from the Shadow Depository in the previous episode, “Liars, Guns and Money: A Not So Simple Plan”, getting enough money to purchase D’Argo’s son, although one of the ingots they stole turned into some type of insectoid creature or robot. Unfortunately, they’ve missed the slave auction where he was being sold – the lot was bought by a private buyer – Scorpius. He did not die as Crighton thought he did, and now he has D’Argo’s son. The creature is also damaging the ship.
In order to free the slaves, the crew has to hire a group of mercenaries – from the various races they’ve encountered in the Uncharted Territories. Fortunately, they now have a lot of money to hire them. Or do they? All the ingots were the creatures.
And the story is still not concluded, continuing in the next episode, “Liars, Guns And Money: Plan B”.
