Eureka – Do You See What I See?

“Do You See What I See?” is the Christmas 2011 special of Eureka.

It’s not clear where this fits in with series continuity. It was released after the season four finale, “One Giant Leap…”, and before the season five first episode, “Lost”, but is not actually set between them.

It’s Christmas in Eureka again, and Carter has arranged with Henry and Fargo to cover the entire town in snow using the super photon generator. Something goes wrong – naturally, what else is new? – and the people of the town turn into computer animated characters – except for Zoe, Kevin and Jenna, who are all in S.A.R.A.H., where Kevin has taken out Jenna’s new holo toy – and which appears to be having some sort of effect on the town.

During the episode, the characters and town go through various animation styles, including traditional, manga and claymation, with nods in one scene to various well known cartoons. Some of the characters undergo rather more extreme changes than others.

Dr. Noah Drummer, last seen in “O Little Town…”, reappears, and Battlestar Galactica‘s Edward James Olmos and The Big Bang Theory‘s Jim Parsons guest star as the voices of a sled dog and Carter’s Jeep respectively.
